The Oval Office launches The House of Congress, a spin-off specialised in organising congresses
Total experiences
With the formation of The House of Congress, The Oval Office wishes to position itself more prominently on the expanding congresses and conferences market in Belgium. The presence in our country of many international institutions, trade and professional associations and the marketing efforts being made by cities like Brussels, Antwerp, Liège, Mons, Ghent, Leuven and Mechelen in order to profile themselves as a congress city are generating a significant increase in the number of business meetings.
But the very concept of congresses has been evolving as well. From platforms where the focus is on transmitting factual content there has developed a need for congresses where the content isn’t just shared, but also jointly ´experienced´.
“Congresses are in the process of becoming total experiences. Along with inspiring content and networking opportunities, participants are looking for a live experience that stimulates their senses and which they wish to share with their peers", says Tuya Beyers. "With The House of Congress, we want to create a congress experience that’s custom-tailored to the visitor."
Thanks to the unique combination of a strong, creative and substantive live communication and a seamless logistical organisation, The House of Congress hopes to quickly become a major player on the Belgian MICE market.
